I've been having some problems lately, so I went to an endocrinologist yesterday after being referred by my normal doctor. I'm supposed to get a blood test within a week. After looking some things up, I'm extremely worried that what's been causing the problems is PCOS. I have symptoms of it. It carries a higher risk of diabetes, hypertension, and heart attack. Since my dad's side of the family is prone to diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol (my dad has all three), and who knows what else, I'm really scared. I'll probably ask my aunt (dad's sister) about other family health problems.
If I'm prescribed anything, I hope it'll be stuff that I can chew. I can't swallow pills whole. I've tried many times, all with water, and no luck. I also hope anything I take doesn't increase the chance of a heart attack or other problems.
In other less stressful news, I got my records from some place I went to some years back. This is so I can go through this group who helps disabled people find jobs. I need proof of disability to go through the program. So I found out that not only am I autistic, (though I've known that for years now) but I was also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. I'm not surprised by that.
