speaking of presentations though im still thinkin about how this one girl in my phonology class did her final paper and presentation on…. pig latin. it was so embarrassing. it was an 8 page paper. how did she even do that. i felt so bad for her too because like we talked about it in class once and i guess the professor even approved it but like. oh boy. as soon as she pulled her powerpoint up i was like thank god my weeb ass japanese presentation isn't the worst one im so mean
Pig Latin actually came up in the book I'm reading currently about South Pembrokeshire dialect; it apparently used to be used in Tenby and was referred to as “backslang”. I'd always thought it was an internet thing, but it's been around since the 19th century apparently ^.^
