yeah i think it would be a good idea at least to read one of the regular books rather than the super editions, since they're so much longer we definitely wouldn't be able to finish. i mean, i don't know if we ever finished any of the other books we read other than into the wild which we definitely did, but with a shorter book we will at least get more out of it.
and if the book we end up picking is something that someone doesn't have there's a website with pdfs of all the books uploaded 
but a book from one of the first couple series would probably be the best pick especially for a lot of the people who stopped reading at one point.
