I was annoyed by the whole 3DS thing too. I got the very original one, before the price drop, so I got all those free games – I'd rather have gotten an equivalent amount of credit for their store, though. I don't mind mine being smaller; I am annoyed by the fact that the new one has more built-in memory, and better processing power (I do notice lag sometimes even in non-online games on my 3DS), and the whole amiibo thing.
I don't think I'll buy a new one though. Mine is still in good shape, and I'm just not playing as much 3DS as I used to; I've put a lot more money and time lately into PC.
