Soooo, I may or may not have seen Max Max: Fury Road five times in theaters… with the same people each time… *sweats* needless to say it's my new favorite movie.
Recently, I've also seen Jurassic World a couple times, and while it doesn't really get better with repeat viewings, I still loved it for what it was. I'm hoping to see Inside Out sometime soon, I'm a huge sucker for pixar films and the buzz i've heard surrounding this one has me really excited to see it. I'm also probably going to see Ant-Man and the new Terminator films, but to be honest I'm not really looking forward to either of them. I've heard Ant-Man is actually good, but I'm just. not excited about it at all (i liked guardians and the first avengers but i'm not really all that into marvel.)
Other movies i like are phantom of the Opera (even if just for how incredibly influential it was for me as a kid) and Pacific Rim. i also loved Skyfall, so i'm really stoked for Spectre to come out, and i can always pop in an Indiana Jones flick. for a long time my favorite movie was The Dark Knight – it's absurd how many times i've seen it now – but at heart I'm a Tolkein fan, so the LotR trilogy are some of my favorite films.
I recently saw Eraserhead for the first time- I've never seen a David Lynch film before, so maybe it's just his style, but that film absolutely floored me. I still have no idea what happened but the tone of the film really resonated with me in a way that I was actually super uncomfortable with, but I want to see it again sometime.
