Just gonna repost what I put on the least favorite character thread:
I don't really like Spottedleaf at all. Her whole character is basically centered around this “great love” she and Firestar supposedly had before her death when it was just a crush. Then when she dies she goes out of her way to continue seeing Firestar in his dreams and probably confuse him further. I just hate the whole idea of that Firestar could possibly love Spottedleaf more than Sandstorm, and to me Spottedleaf is basically obsessed with Firestar in a really unhealthy way.
I know about how Spottedleaf sacrificed herself for Sandstorm, but legit the only reason that happened was so that Firestar wouldn't have to choose between her and sandstorm and again the idea he'd even pick Spottedleaf – a crush he had on an older cat as an apprentice over he's mate he's gone through a lifetime with and built a legacy with and urgh it makes me really mad.
And I also don't like how everything she does is supposedly perfect, she's a cat who can do no wrong, idek. Girl is so perfect it's a flaw in it of itself.
Feathertail is sort of the same way when it comes to Crowfeather from what we've seen of her in StarClan ( like when she said lion, jay, and holly are important to her since they're Crowfeather's kits ) but with her I don't mind it that much I guess partly cause we aren't constantly bombarded by it anyways, partly because at least she and Crowfeather had gotten to develop their relationship before she died and she was pretty freaking awesome in general.
…I just realized this probably should go into a least favorite shipping thread as Fire/Spotted is by far among the ships I hate the most, buuuut literally it's also the reason I hate Spottedleaf so much, honestly.
Basically as a sum up, I hate Fire/Spotted.
I used to hate Lion/Cinder a lot. Like, a lot. I used to ship Lion/Ice and then over on the official forums people started shipping Lion/Cinder and being real jerks about it and basically ruining that ship for me; and then when it became canon, all the bad attitudes got worse. I remember being so mad I made a fic I posted to warriors wish where everyone was extremely ooc and Cinderheart was horrible and Icecloud was in this love triangle with Lionblaze and Jayfeather. I made it back in 2011 so I was like… 12? I went back and found it the other day and I found myself cringing at how bad it was; all the spelling mistakes and urgh. A part of me wants to rewrite it though, with everyone in character and adjusting the plot so it makes better sense as it did have some interesting ideas going, and Jay/Ice was going to be endgame. I thought of it since Jayfeather was usually paired with Cinderheart and Icecloud with Lionblaze, 100% crackship and it still appeals to me somewhat to this day.
For the most part though now I'm sorta nonchalant to all of those ships; I'm planning on rereading the series and when I get to OotS maybe my opinions on Lion/Cinder will change, who knows.
Like many others I also don't like Crow/Night. He basically used her, end of story.
