  This is a general tarot topic! Anything relating to using Tarot cards or oracles, whether it's the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck or a more niche, low-count card deck.

  There's an online thing that picks random Tarot cards from the RWS deck!! it's over here
  
  Though I always prefer working with real cards. (lav was so kind to purchase this deck for me and im cryin i cant wait for it to get here)

  Probably the most memorable card I got one time for myself was the ten of swords?? The one with the swords all up in the guys back

  That one's super intense *_* I think I'm gonna start making a habit of drawing my daily cards, where the two cards are from the major arcana and the regular suits respectively. Today I did a reading with the online one that basically reaffirmed “LEARN HOW TO DRIVE ALREADY YOU HAVE THE RESOURCES” so like… true

  The online one's good for if you don't mind that it's online ! They seem accurate enough imo. Also that deck looks rly nice omg I hope you can get it!

  I know barely anything about this kind of stuff, but I've always found it kind of interesting.
  I saw a deck on Tumblr with the designs from the Persona games, so I think that if I ever got one, that's probably be the one I'd get.

  i love tarot…i had this short fling with wicca before realizing i suck at religion in general but tarot has interested me since
  also the author of the raven boys has made a tarot deck themed around it and i rly want it. i don't think it's a full one though

  Same honestly!! I really discovered it when I got into Wicca (which I mostly got into after my mom passed, and she was Wiccan?), and my sister's told me as long as I don't mess with spirits or smth I'm good to go. (I remember that was also why I dropped Wicca in the first place – I was afraid to overstep that boundary, haha.)

  Sounds like I'm kind of the opposite of you guys… I went through a hardcore Christian phase for a while, and considered even reading magazine horoscopes to be off-limits. Now that that's changed (I guess agnostic is the best label for it), I'm starting to check out this stuff that I wouldn't before. It's really interesting to learn about.

  beep boop it's been a while and I'm sorry to bump this topic back but secular/non-religious witchcraft/messing with the things for whatever personal reasons you have is generally accepted at least from what I've seen? :V

  I know… basically zilch about tarot cards, haha. I'm a person who doesn't really think too much about religion and spirituality (it hurts my head digging for meaning where there isn't much that I even understand), but the idea is quite captivating!

  Tarot is really interesting! The symbology of it is probably my favorite part.
  
  I'm a bit stuck on something, though – recently I dreamt of a card in the Major Arcana (The Hanged Man, specifically) but I'm still puzzling over what it might mean. I'm kinda piecing it out to mean that I should let my old friendship stop influencing my life, but who know.

  I uh, ended up getting myself a deck to study firsthand… the little white book is very compact and basic but there's a lot to read into in this Night Sun Tarot deck
  
  this deck didn't really like me at first (everything was reversed. Everything. Up until I asked how next week was gonna go and it was like “death. Upright.”)

  And on the topic of spreads I did!! I could probably write a few down here that I made on the spot so other people could try them out?
  
  The first one is the Connections spread – it's meant for two-person connections and relations, but I'm sure you could do more than one by surrounding the space above the connector card as well.
  
  1. You – since this thread's for seeing you and another's connection (and not two other people, since that's a bit invasive?), this represents you in the context of your relations.
  
  2. The Other – the other person in the context of this question.
  
  3. Your Connection – how you will connect (or how you already actively connect), if at all.
  
  4. Advice – this is an optional draw, but offers advice to the sitter. It makes the spread a little more helpful!
  
  The other one I've done is the 'Who am I?' spread. It's still getting the kinks worked out, it's not a very cleaned-up spread, but it works fine for me.
  
  1. You – a main facet of yourself, or one that people note about you.
  
  2. Your Emotional Side – how you process things emotionally.
  
  3. (emotional side) To Others – how you act towards others.
  
  4. (emotional side) To Yourself – how you act towards yourself.
  
  5. Your Logical Side – how you reason with yourself and the outside world.
